Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer Review

If you been reading my blog for a while then you will probably know by now that I've been on the hunt for the "ultimate" concealer for a while. I found some pretty great ones but I've still kept looking for the least expensive, best quality concealer. Today, I am reviewing the Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer in the colour light. This is a concealer that I wanted for quite a while before I actually got it. I got it in Boots for €13.50. I feel like it's a pretty mid-range concealer in terms of its price. It's not as cheap as something like the Collection concealer but it's not as expensive as something like the Bobbi Brown one. 

One thing I love about this concealer is that you get an entire package for your money, not just a tube of concealer. It comes in a hard circular case which not only holds the concealer, but powder to set it with and a small mirror to look in when you are fixing your makeup. You also get two different shades of concealer, a yellow toned one, and a pink toned one. I love the packaging in terms of its design and it is so handy when you are on the go. It's the perfect concealer for travelling. 

Now onto the actual concealer and its quality. The concealer is quite thick so it does have quite a bit of coverage, I'd say at least medium coverage if not high. Not only are they thick but they are quite creamy so they are easy to blend in, and you don't need to worry about rushing to blend them in before  they dry out. I am kind of obsessed with the yellow toned shade, it's probably the main reason why I like this set so much. I don't really use the pink shade that much because I think it is supposed to be used under your eyes, and I prefer to use the yellow shade for that. One of the only downsides of these concealers is that they aren't very close to my skin tone and sometimes need to be sorta mixed with foundation to look right on my face. I've found that it lasts quite well on my skin (Normal/combination) although I've heard that it fades quite quickly on oily skin so If you have oily skin this might not be the concealer for you.

Overall, I really like this concealer, mostly for covering my dark circles above anything else. They are good coverage, and they come with a mirror and a powder to set them. I love the packaging and it is so easy to travel with. It could be cheaper but I feel like you do get quite a lot for the price. Makeup Revolution Cover & Conceal Palette Review

I recently got the Makeup Revolution London Ultra Cover and Conceal palette at Superdrug for only €7.75. This is the first product I ever got from Makeup Revolution but I thought I'd try it since it was so inexpensive. In the palette, you get 8 different shades of concealer with quite a nice sized mirror. There were three different shades of this palette available to buy; light, light-medium or medium-dark. I went for the light palette because I have pretty pale skin. 

My original idea for getting this palette was to use it to contour with but I think that the light-medium or medium-dark palette might have been better for contouring. None of the shades in this palette are dark enough. Highlighting, on the other hand, is a different story. At least half of the colours in this palette are light enough for me to highlight with. 

These concealers are very soft and creamy so they are quite easy to blend out. They don't dry in as quickly as some other concealers do so they're easier to work with. The downside of that is that they are fairly light and don't have as much coverage as other concealers. They also are quite an oily consistency and are hard to set with powder. I do like this palette and being able to have all the different shades to play around with when concealing my face but as for the quality of the concealers, I feel like they are fairly average.

I am still pretty happy with this palette though because as I've already said, I got it for only €7.75, so I wasn't expecting MAC quality full coverage concealers. For the price, I think they are good quality and you could get a lot worse concealers for €7.75. I wish there would be a tiny more variation in the colours so they could be used better for contouring but I think that was my own fault in choosing the light palette. 

Overall, I like this palette. For the price, you can't go wrong, and you not only get 8 different shades of concealer but a pretty sizable compact mirror too. I definitely want to try out some more Makeup Revolution products after these, especially because they are so inexpensive. Have you ever tried any Makeup Revolution products before?
