Black is the New Black | My Top Shoe Picks (boohoo.com)

I was browsing on boohoo.com earlier today and picked out some of their shoes that are new in. The one thing that all these pairs of shoes have in common is that they are all black. Anyway, here are the shoes I chose:

The first pair I chose were these black knee high boots. These are flat so they are a both comfortable and stylish. These are perfect to wear in the winter with skinny jeans or even with tights and a skirt or dress.
The next pair of shoes I chose are these converse style trainers. What I like about them is that they take traditional converse shoes and add a zip to the side which I think looks really cool.
The next pair I picked are these black, lace-up ankle boots. These are one of my favourites that I chose. These would go with so many things and I just love them so much.
The next pair of trainers on the list are really simple with a very subtle hint of bling. I don't like a lot of bling but I like that these have a sort of black glitter detail on the heel.
And the final pair of shoes I chose are my favourite. They are the ones that I know if I bought them, I would wear them all the time. I'm supposed to be saving money for college but I am really considering buying them because they are only €20. I love casual high tops and these ones are really cool because they are quilted. I just love them!

So those are my top shoe picks from boohoo.com. I hope you liked this post. If you did then make sure to love it on Bloglovin or give it a +1 on Google Plus. Also, make sure to let me know in the comments below which pair, if any, are you favourite. I hope you have a great day and I'll talk to you soon.

Where Have I Been??

Source
So you might have noticed lately, and over the past year, that I haven't been producing as many blog posts each month as I used to. A lot of that had been because I was so focused on my YouTube channel that I had a lot less time to work on blog posts. Another reason was that I've been doing this for 3 or 4 years now and it was starting to get really repetitive and not as fun as it used to be. If you are subscribed to my YouTube channel then you will know that recently I've started to slack on that too. I'm not going to lie to you, last year was pretty rough for me. I don't feel like I'm ready to talk about it yet, if ever, but this year I've been slacking because I just felt like I needed some rest.

I've been letting myself get away with not making posts or videos because I've just felt exhausted from everything. Also, I graduated from college last year and I've struggled with the transition from college to working. I haven't been able to keep a schedule the way I used to, and I know it sounds like I'm blaming everything else, but it is ultimately my fault. I haven't been getting up early to write blog posts. I haven't been staying up late to edit videos. The less I did, the more anxious I started to get about making videos. I would just sit on the couch all day on my days off feeling so anxious that I couldn't just get up and start doing things.

But I'm starting to feel more hopeful. I've started forcing myself to get up early, even when I could sleep in later because I don't have work until 11am or 12pm. I'm hoping that even 2 or 3 hours of work in the morning will help to get me back on track. I used to work on blog posts, videos, college work and other things for what seemed like 24/7. I didn't take days off. When I came home from work I would edit a video or write an essay and lately after work I just sit and watch TV. I want to get back to how I used to be. I want to be as productive.

I'm very fortunate that, even though I've been slacking on the quantity of blog posts I've been writing this year, the number of people who follow my blog continues to grow each week. A lot of you have continued to support me when I haven't been providing much content and I want to thank you for that. I feel confident that this is the start of a new beginning and I already have plans in motion for lots of blog posts to come. I hope you have a great day and I'll talk to you soon.

What I Ate Today | My Food Diary

In today's what I ate today, I actually didn't eat very much, although I nearly hit my 1400 calorie limit. Anyway, here is what I had:

7:00am - Green Tea

So as I usually do when I wake up at 7:00am, I had a cup of green tea without any milk. I drank it in bed while watching YouTube videos and trying to wake up properly.

10:30am - Breakfast

For breakfast, I had toast with butter and jam, a glass of mango, orange and passionfruit smoothie from Aldi, and a glass of water. I love jam on toast but I only allow myself to eat it as a reward when I get up early, otherwise, I only have butter on it. That's kind of weird but I like to use it as an incentive to get up earlier. I usually don't drink the smoothie every morning but I'm trying to use it up before it goes out of date.

5:00pm - Dinner

For dinner I had one of my new favourites; a feta and avocado salad. So basically it is made with chicken, rocket or spinach, avocado, feta cheese and balsamic vinaigrette, and it is actually so yummy. Also, it's really low in calories. I think it is around 550 calories. So, I had that for dinner with a glass of water while I watched some Teen Mom. I was working until 4pm that day and the salad was already made from the morning so it was nice to come home and relax without breaking into a packet of biscuits or something really unhealthy.

8:00pm - Snack

My salad from earlier was quite small; It was more like a lunch sized portion rather than a dinner portion so I was still kind of hungry after it. I decided to have some chocolate that my mom had brought home from Poland where she went on holiday that week. It was pretty nice, the little chocolates were kind of like Celebrations chocolates. There was a cookie one that I really liked that was like cookies and cream on the inside. Along with the chocolate, I had a cup of Oreo hot chocolate. My sister has a Tassimo machine that she brought home when she moved back to go to college that I get the Oreo Tassimo pods for. They are really nice but the only thing is that 1 portion of it doesn't fill a cup so you need to use 2 to have enough hot chocolate.

10:00pm - Snack

The final thing I had to eat was a bag of Perri Buttersalt Popcorn. These are handy because there is only 81 calories in a pack and they aren't as unhealthy as crisps or Taytos. I was staying up pretty late that night so I decided to have some as a small snack so that I wasn't hungry.
So that was everything I ate. I hope you enjoyed this post. I really like making them so let me know if you would like to see more. Also, let me know in the comments below what you favourite snack food is whether it is healthy or unhealthy. I hope you have a great day and I'll talk to you soon.

Makeup Revolution Goddess of Love Highlighter Review

Makeup Revolution is quickly becoming a very popular brand for makeup. Their palettes are really inexpensive and are pretty great quality for the price. I've already bought both of their contour palettes and their concealer palette and was very happy with them. They recently came out with a series of baked highlighters so I decided to get one to see what it was like.
The highlighter that I chose was their Goddess of Love Triple Baked Highlighter. They had different ones that were multitone but I ended up choosing this one which is gorgeous. The highlighter itself is heart-shaped and so is the gold and white box with purple lettering that it comes in. On first impressions of the packaging, I really love it; It is simple and cute. The only thing is that it is quite bulky so it's not very travel-friendly.
The price was pretty good. I got it for around €6. I know that there are some cheaper highlighters than this but there are also some that are 20 and 30 euro so I think it is a fairly good price.

On to the product, it is very pigmented and has quite a shimmery finish. It is so pigmented, in fact, that you have to be careful not to put too much on because the pigmentation along with the shimmer can look very tacky if put on wrong. It has a fairly good staying power as well and lasts the day. I never notice it has worn off throughout the day anyway. Below is a picture of me wearing the highlighter.
Overall, I do like this highlighter. I feel like highlighter is a product that just works or doesn't, I've never really fallen in love with one as far as I can remember. Anyway, I like this one. It is really pretty. The only negative thing I have to say is that it is quite bright and shimmery so I feel it does kind of border on tacky; it's not very subtle. I'm still going to wear it though, I just have to make sure not to put on too much and to blend it out as much as I can. Have you ever tried a Makeup Revolution highlighter or another one of their products? Leave a comment below if you did and let me know what you thought of it. Also, If you are interested in getting one of these highlighters, you can get it in your local Superdrug or here online. I hope you have and great day and hopefully I'll talk to you soon.
