New Year's Resolutions

Source

Hey guys! So we are almost in 2015! Do you all make new year's resolutions or do you think they are pointless? I like to take the new year to re-motivate me and remind me what my goals for the foreseeable future are. Some of my resolutions are things that I am going to do all the time and others are just things that I want to keep in mind throughout 2015. So for 2015 my new year's resolutions are:

  • I want to make a main video and a gaming video twice a week for my YouTube channel starting in like two or three weeks when my gaming videos change from one every second week to one every week.
  • I want to keep up with my blog and try to do some more interesting and creative posts (I don't know how well I will do on that until May for reasons which I will be using in my next resolution) I will be posting consistently enough though and doing about 8 or 9 post a month at the very least no matter how busy I am.
  • I want to survive my last semester of college/ Uni, my final year project, work, uploading 2 videos a week and blogging consistently.(while trying not to fail out of college)

  • I want to look after my mental health by trying not to get too stressed this year and try to keep on top of my anxiety by giving myself allotted time off where I'm not allowed to feel guilty for not doing work and just lounging about watching TV or YouTube videos. I also might take up some small form of meditation and drink more green tea.

  • I want to be nicer and try not to give out about other people no matter how stressed I am or how annoying they are. I also want to try to see things from other peoples point of view more.
  •  I want to do at least one or two things to help out around the house other than walking my dog (which I do anyway), especially on my days off work or college so that my mom and I will get on better this year and we will both be less stressed.
  • Finally, I want to make a list of what i'm grateful for, maybe each night, maybe once a week or maybe only once a month, to remind me of all the good things in my life. I also want to pick out the highlight of my day, each day, even if it was the most crappy day on earth, to remind myself of the positives and to think positively

I hope you liked this post and my resolutions helped to inspire some of yours. It's great for me to have them all written down so I can go back to them in the middle of the year and remind myself of some of the things I might be forgetting to stay on top of. Please leave a comment down below telling me your new year's resolutions or if you do them at all because I would really love to hear them.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Original unedited source
Happy Christmas everyone! I hope ye all have an amazing Christmas and get lots of great presents. I'm here in my room waiting for it to be a decent hour to go down and start opening presents because my Mom has a rule on Christmas not to wake her before a certain time. It's my 22nd Christmas and I still woke up too early from all the excitement. I've about 45 more minutes to wait until I can start waking everybody up so I thought that I would say Happy Christmas to all of you! I'm pretty sure that I'm going to take lot's of pictures today so expect a Christmas day blog post tomorrow or the day after where I show you all the lovely pics :) I hope ye all have a lovely Christmas and I will talk to you soon :)

Ugly Christmas Jumpers 2014

Hey guys! I was looking at Christmas jumpers the other day which you may already know if you saw my top Christmas jumpers 2014 blog post, and while I was looking at jumpers I came across some that weren't so nice. Some of them are funny but still, they aren't the prettiest jumpers. I thought you might like to see them too because they are quite funny. What's even more funny is that they are all pretty expensive, and I don't know why you would spend so much money on a hideous jumper. They aren't in any particular order and if you want more information about them, they are all linked below.

1. Happy Birthday Jesus Jumper - funkychristmasjumpers.com (€39.99)
2. Xmas Mash-Up Crew Neck Jumper - Amazon (€20)
3. Santa Christmas Jumper- Amazon (€25)
4. The 3 Kings Jumper - funkychristmasjumpers.com (€39.99)
5. Santa of Hearts Jumper - funkychristmasjumpers.com (€39.99)

What do you think? Would you wear any of these? Which do you think is the worst? Leave a comment down below.

Sisterhood of the world Blogger Award

Hey guys! I've been nominated for the "Sisterhood of the world Blogger Award" by the lovely Cristina from cristinayats so I thought that I would do the tag for today's blog post. Thank you for nominating me Cristina :) So here is the tag:

The Rules:
1. Thank the blogger who nominated you, linking back to their site
2. Answer the ten questions that have been set you
3. Make up ten new questions for your nominees to answer
4. Nominate ten people
5. HAVE FUN

The questions Cristina asked me:

1. What is your must have for winter? (piece of clothing, not beauty)
A onesie and fuzzy slippers, I couldn't survive without them!

2. A beauty product you could not live without
I think it's just mainly eye makeup, not any particular product.

3. What is your favourite online shop? (it can be about anything)
Probably Amazon because there are so many things you can get on there.

4. What is your favourite Christmas film?
I really love The Holiday and have already watched it twice this Christmas. I also really love the Home Alone films.

5. What is your favourite candle scent?
I really love vanilla scents but I don't trust myself to have a candle. I'd be scared I'd accidentally knock it over or leave it lit and cause a fire or something.

6. What is your favourite lipstick for winter?
I love a red lipstick for Winter and Christmas but I also think berry would be really nice too. I don't really have one specific lipstick.

7. What is your favourite hairstyle?
I don't really have one, just wear my hair down most days.

8. A fashion icon
Cara Delevingne is one of them. I did a blog post before about how much I love her style.

9. What is your favourite Christmas song?
I love the Band Aid song and All I want for Christmas is you by Mariah Carey.

7. Glass half full or glass half empty?
8. Favourite TV show right now?
9. What is your favourite wild animal?

My Favourite Christmas Jumpers 2014

Hey guys! Are ye all excited for Christmas? There aren't that many days left now :) Today I'm am showing you my top Christmas jumpers for this year. So here they are in no particular order:

This novelty jumper is really cute and festive. I love this colour so much but it also comes in other colours like red and navy for those of you who don't like it. This is one of the more fun jumpers I've chosen.

This one is quite a traditional jumper. It has a reindeer on it just like the last one and I just love the pattern on it. It's the one of the most expensive jumpers but it looks like it's really great quality and would last a couple of Christmases.

This jumper is just another cute grey one, with snowflakes this time. I don't know why but most of these jumpers are grey. This one looks really warm and snuggly.

This one is so cute and not your typical Christmas jumper. It's a bit more everyday jumper with a hint of Christmas in it than a full blown knitted Christmas jumper.

I love this as a sort of alternative to a Christmas jumper. It's not technically a Christmas jumper but it's warm and furry and a little more fashion forward than the others.

Last but not least, this polar bear jumper. It's really cute and it reminds me of the coke polar bears at Christmas. I also really like that it has little baubles as snow on it. So cute!!

So those are my top Christmas jumpers this year. I hope you like them. Have you gotten your Christmas jumper yet? Which of these is your favourite? Leave a comment below.

Gift ideas for Sisters

Hey, guys! I've been thinking lately of what to get my sisters for Christmas and I came up with a few ideas that I thought I would share with you. One of my sisters is in her twenties and the other is nearly fourteen so I've put together a little mix of presents ideas for both of them. So here are my ideas:

1. Too Faced Boudoir Eyes Eye Palette - Boots (€38.00)
When I saw this I thought of my older sister, she has a too faced palette already so I know she likes the brand. I thought the colours in this palette would be perfect for her, there are neutral ones for every day but there is also black and silver to create a really dramatic smokey eye. It's pretty expensive though so it would only be that present on its own that I would get her and I want to get her a few things.

2. Essence Gel Nails At Home - Pennys/Primark (€25- €30)
This is something that I just think would be a great present for any girl. I mostly put this on the list because I would really love to get this for Christmas and I know both of my sisters would feel the same. If you haven't heard of it yet, it's basically a really inexpensive kit to create gel nails at home. The beauty of it is that you can use it with any nail polish including the Essence ones that are less than €2 and it turns them into a gel nail finish so your nail polish will last much longer.

3.  Sleek 7 Piece Brush Set- Boots (€15.99)
I really think my younger sister would love a makeup brush set. She has a few random brushes but is constantly stealing mine. This one is really inexpensive and has all the essential brushes that a 14-year-old would need. It also has a brush belt that I think she would love because it makes the brushes look a bit more professional and she can take them with her anywhere she goes.

4. Rose Gold Tine Bracelet Watch (€37.00)
I love this watch, my mom loves this watch and I bet both of my sisters would love it too. Any girl would love this watch for Christmas. I don't know how many of my friends in work have rose gold watches but I know that these are a big favourite right now among them all. I think I might actually get it for my mom now because when I showed her the sister gift ideas picture I made she completely fell in love with the watch and wouldn't stop talking about it.

5. Maybelline NY Limited Edition Fashion Look Box - Boots (€24.99)
I think this set is perfect for younger teenage girls who are starting off their makeup collection, or maybe don't have that much makeup yet because it has a lot of different products in it. There is mascara, blush, baby lips lip balm, nail polish and more and it isn't too expensive.

I hope you liked this post. What are you thinking of buying your family members for Christmas? Has everyone already started Christmas shopping? I still haven't gotten half the things I need. Leave a comment below.

The Liebster Award!

Hey guys! I've been nominated for the Liebster Award again by the lovely Brittaney Penny. Thank you so much for nominating me Brittaney :) So here are the rules:

Rules:
1. Link back to the person who nominated you.
2. Answer questions given by the nominator.
3. Nominate 5-11 other bloggers with less than 1000 followers. (Stats taken from bloglovin'.)
4. Create 11 questions for the nominees
5. Notify all nominees via social media/blogs.

Questions from Brittaney:
1. Favorite  Food?
I don't really have a favourite food. I go through phases where I eat loads of the one thing until I get sick of it and then rarely eat it again haha. I've been eating pizza with garlic sauce a lot lately. It's definitely one of my favourites right now.
2. If you could change your name, what would you change it to?
I think I would change it to something really funny or weird. Something that's easy to spell and pronounce but is a little bit different like Boris or something haha. On second thoughts maybe I would just change my name for a day or something :P
3. Do you bakes, if so, what is your favorite recipe?
I don't have a lot of time for baking but I do baking every so often. My favourite things to make (and eat :P) are chocolate biscuit cake and homemade chocolate chip cookies.
4. What's your family like? (Are you married? Do you have children? etc)
I'm not married and I don't have children. I have a mom, a dad, two sisters, a dog and two fish :P
5. Do you have a weird quirk?
Not that I can think of.
6. What's the last picture you took on your phone?
It's a selfie of my sister. She likes to take pictures of herself on my phone and put it as the screensaver to annoy me.
7. Have you ever danced in the rain?
Yes.
8. What's a sickness you have faked to get out of going to work/school?
I think it was just general sickness back then. I hadn't thought it through very well.
9. If you could wake up tomorrow in someone else's body, who would you choose and what would you do?
Anytime I try to think of an answer to that question, I always wonder what happens to my body. Would the person I become switch bodies with me? Then I have no answer because I don't trust anyone else to get everything I need to get done finished. I feel like I would go back into my body the next day and realise that they had ruined my life :P
10. What's your favorite book and why?
I have literally no idea. There is way too many to choose from.
11. What do you usually order at a restaurant that you have never been to?
I wouldn't go to a restaurant I'd never been to without seeing the menu or hearing about what food they do because I'm quite a fussy eater. Also, I get a lot of anxiety when I go into unknown situations like a new restaurant so I like to know as much as I can beforehand.

Now here are my nominees:
Rae from Pastel Carousel
Laura Elizabeth
Lucy Jane
Jessica from Colourful Stuff
and Lauren from What Lauren Did Today

Here are my questions for the nominees:
1. Do you have any pets?
2.What do you do or want to do for a living?
3. What is your favourite TV show right now?
4. Who is your favourite YouTuber?
5. What's your favourite thing about Christmas?
6. What makeup item could you not live without?
7.  Cats or dogs?
8. How old is your blog?
9. What was your favourite post that you've ever published?
10. What do you want for Christmas?
11. What embarrasses you?

So there you go. I'm off to notify the nominees. Thanks again to Brittaney for nominating me. I hope you all liked this post and I talk to you next time.

Snuggly Fall Fashion Look

Hey guys! I was looking online for some inspiration for Christmas presents and I ended up putting together a casual look for fall and winter. Here are the items in the look:

I love this baggy over-sized jumper. It a great item to throw on on a nippy morning. I also love the colour, and the bare shoulder look it gives.

This bag is a gorgeous, neutral, nice sized bag for all your bits and bobs. It's perfect for everyday but it's also quite chic at the same time.

I love these boots, mostly because I love ankle boots, but these ones look really comfortable and durable for the winter months. Doesn't every girl need a pair of brown ankle boots after all?

A lovely pair of khaki toned jeans that I think go perfectly with the rest of the look. A lovely neutral to add to the brown boots and stone coloured jumper.

The last thing I chose was this gold necklace from River Island. I thought it would really add to the look and that the neck and shoulders might have looked a bit too bare without it. I like that it is a mix between a simple necklace and a statement necklace, not too simple but not too in your face.

I hope you liked this post :) Would you wear this look? What is your favourite item from the look? Let me know by leaving a comment down below :)

My Top 6 Zara Outerwear Picks

Hey guys, today I thought that I would share some coats and outerwear with you in case you somehow haven't gotten round to getting any yet. These are my top 6 from Zara.

1. Basic Parka (€99.95)
Everyone loves a parka jacket. I've seen so many people wearing them this autumn and I used to wear my sister's all the time. I love how casual these jackets are, that you can throw them over anything and still look nice. It's almost becoming a staple in people's winter wardrobes these days. Everyone seems to love wearing parkas in winter. Also, it's great that with this jacket, and most of the others I chose, that they last you for a few years and can be brought out of your closet for the colder months each year.

2. Hooded Poncho Cape (€79.95)
I really love the idea of capes. They are so cool and I love this slightly more casual one. It looks really warm and cosy. The only things is that your arms would probably still be cold but you could always layer lots of thick sweater or cardigans underneath to keep them warm.

3. Short Coat with Furry Interior (€99.95)
I really like this coat. Grey is such a great colour for winter and I really love the length of this. Also, it is so perfect that it has a furry inside to keep you warm through all the cold and frost.

4. Buttoned Cape Coat (€129.00)
I love this cape coat! It is so cute, like a black version of Little Red Riding Hood' cape. I just love the fact that capes are in all the shops now and I would love to get one. This is the most expensive of all the coats that I have chosen so it would have to look amazing on me to actually buy it because realistically, right now, I don't think I would spend more than €100 on a coat.

5. Parka with Patterned Fur Lining (€99.95)
This coat is a nice length and has the great furry interior to keep you warm. It's kind of like no. 3 but in black with less of a winter-y feel to it. Great to keep warm and would go with so many things.

6. Over-sized Weave Coat (€99.95)
This coat is a lovely pale pink colour and has a lovely woolen feel to it. This one is longer than the others and would be perfect for a really cold day, maybe if it snowed or was very icy. I love this because it is the typical winter coat but in quite a unique colour for one.

One thing you have to be careful about with Zara is that they sometimes do real leather and fur. The "fur" in the coats I listed are made with polyester and acrylic and other materials that aren't fur, but if you are getting a coat there and are against wearing fur then make sure to check the composition details on the tag to make sure it's not made with real fur.

I hope you liked this post. Which is your favourite of the outerwear I chose? Leave a comment below :)

Real Techniques Core Collection Review

Hey guys! Today am I reviewing the Real Techniques Core Collection. This set is one of my favourite brush sets. Now onto the review:

This set contains four brushes and a travel belt. The travel belt fits the four brushes and also has room for two more. It is really lightweight and easy to throw into a handbag or suitcase in a hurry so that your makeup doesn't have to suffer on the go. It also can be arranged in such a way that it can act as a stand to hold your makeup brushes on your desk while you are doing your makeup.

The first brush in the set is my favourite brush, the buffing brush. This brush buffs liquid and powder foundations onto your skin to give you a flawless finish. It's bristles are so soft and it is just the right size the blend your foundation perfectly. It's small enough to get into hard to reach places but big enough that you can blend your foundation out quickly and you makeup doesn't take all day. Also, none of these brushes seem to shed at all and haven't as I've been using them over the past year.
The next brush is the contour brush. This brush is super soft just like the buffing brush and is the perfect size and shape for both contouring and highlighting. Because it is quite a small contouring brush, it is really easy to do precise contouring to really make your cheekbones stand out, and it also can help to create a much more relaxed contour look because it is quite fluffy and easy to blend out with.
The next brush is probably my least favourite and underused brush in the set. It is the pointed foundation brush. I don't really use this, mostly because I love the buffing brush so much and mostly because it is quite small and would take ages to do your foundation with. It makes quite a good concealer brush however, because it can get into the creases underneath your eyes and the area around your nose to build a high coverage.
The last brush is the detailer brush. This brush is also great for concealing but I really love this brush as a lip brush. It is a great size and shape for defining and filling in your lips to create the perfect lip shape. This is definitely one of my go to brushes when trying to achieve the perfect red lip.
So those are all the brushes in the set. One of the best things about the set is that is is really inexpensive for makeup brushes. It's about €28.99 for the set in Boots whereas most MAC brushes that are about the same quality are €30 for just one brush. It's also even cheaper on Amazon for about €22. I hope you liked this post and I'll talk to you soon.

Bellashoot | Beauty Tips, Tutorials, Reviews and More

Hey guys, today I wanted to talk to you about a site called Bellashoot. I joined this site not long after I created my blog and I recently hit 1000 followers on it. Bellashoot is a great place to share beauty tips and tricks, along with makeup tutorials, reviews, your beauty inspiration and more. You can follow other Bellas and like, comment on and favourite their posts.

I joined a lot of different sites when I created my blog and Bellashoot is one of the only ones left that I still continuously post to (other than Facebook, Twitter and Google +). It's really easy to use so it doesn't take long to share your blog posts. I add every one of my beauty related posts to Bellashoot after I post them to try reach more readers. Another thing I really love about it is that if you have any questions, the people behind the site are really helpful and informative. They even tweet about posts that I've uploaded to Bellashoot so that I can reach more readers.
If any of you are thinking of creating a Bellashoot profile, here is a tip for uploading a blog post with pictures: upload the main blog post picture and then put a link to the blog post in the description part. I had trouble with that at the real start before I asked the them how to upload pictures with blog posts. Also don't forget to follow me on there ;)
Recently Bellashoot has launched their new iPhone and iPad apps so that you can now use Bellashoot on the go. With these apps, you can now use the camera of your phone to take pictures when you are out and about and upload them straight to Bellashoot without having to go home and transfer them to your laptop. You can also stay up to date on the beauty community's news at all times so you don't miss out when you are not at home.
You can also follow my profile on this app so my posts will come up in you news feed that you can easily check while you are waiting for the bus or in between classes. To go to the Bellashoot website click here, where you can use it on the web in case you don't have any devices that are compatible with the apps.

*Bellashoot asked me if I would like to mention their new apps to my audience. All the above opinions are my own and weren't influence by this in anyway. I am not being paid to write this post, I just enjoy using the site and wanted to tell you all about it to help Bellashoot promote it and their apps .
