Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer Review

If you been reading my blog for a while then you will probably know by now that I've been on the hunt for the "ultimate" concealer for a while. I found some pretty great ones but I've still kept looking for the least expensive, best quality concealer. Today, I am reviewing the Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer in the colour light. This is a concealer that I wanted for quite a while before I actually got it. I got it in Boots for €13.50. I feel like it's a pretty mid-range concealer in terms of its price. It's not as cheap as something like the Collection concealer but it's not as expensive as something like the Bobbi Brown one.
One thing I love about this concealer is that you get an entire package for your money, not just a tube of concealer. It comes in a hard circular case which not only holds the concealer, but powder to set it with and a small mirror to look in when you are fixing your makeup. You also get two different shades of concealer, a yellow toned one, and a pink toned one. I love the packaging in terms of its design and it is so handy when you are on the go. It's the perfect concealer for travelling.
Now onto the actual concealer and its quality. The concealer is quite thick so it does have quite a bit of coverage, I'd say at least medium coverage if not high. Not only are they thick but they are quite creamy so they are easy to blend in, and you don't need to worry about rushing to blend them in before  they dry out. I am kind of obsessed with the yellow toned shade, it's probably the main reason why I like this set so much. I don't really use the pink shade that much because I think it is supposed to be used under your eyes, and I prefer to use the yellow shade for that. One of the only downsides of these concealers is that they aren't very close to my skin tone and sometimes need to be sorta mixed with foundation to look right on my face. I've found that it lasts quite well on my skin (Normal/combination) although I've heard that it fades quite quickly on oily skin so If you have oily skin this might not be the concealer for you.
Here are some swatches of the products:
Overall, I really like this concealer, mostly for covering my dark circles above anything else. They are good coverage, and they come with a mirror and a powder to set them. I love the packaging and it is so easy to travel with. It could be cheaper but I feel like you do get quite a lot for the price. This is one of the better concealers that I've used and I would definitely recommend it. Have you ever tried this concealer? Let me know in the comments below. Natural Collection Concealer Review

Hey guys! Today I am reviewing the Natural Collection Concealer which is only €2.49. I picked this up in my Boot's haul a few months ago and wasn't expecting anything special. To my surprise it is actually pretty good. It's one of the top two concealers that I always reach for lately, the other one being the Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer. They both have the same type of application, a stick with an applicator at the end that reaches far into the tube to get a lot of product.

What I like about this concealer is that it is creamy enough to be blended well but it also has quite a good staying power and doesn't just wipe completely off your face as your are applying it. It drys quite fast so you need to blend it pretty fast but you have enough time to do it, just don't leave it a minute before blending it out.

One thing that I don't really like about the product is that it doesn't smell very good. It has kind of a strong smell like nail polish or something like that but you don't smell it once the concealer has been applied. It's more when you first open it that you can smell it quite strongly. The pictures below are my before and after results.

After
Overall I really like this product. It's great value for money and it works really well. The smell isn't that great but you would get over it for the price. If you are interested, you can get this concealer in any Boots store. Have you ever tried this concealer before? Let me know in the comments what you thought of it or what your favorite concealer is right now if you have never used this one.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer Review

Hey guys! Today's post is a review of the infamous Collection Lasting Perfection. This is my new favourite concealer especially for the price. I'm not sure if I prefer it more than the Bobbi Brown concealer yet but it is definitely a very good cheaper alternative. It's very light and doesn't feel heavy on your skin but has a very high coverage.

This concealer is also great a covering up my under eye circles but I love that it's also good for spots. I am always looking for concealers for my under eye circles and never specifically to cover spots because I have quite good skin. This means that when I do get a spot, I have loads of concealers around but none of them suitable to cover it. They are either too oily or make my spots look shiny because they were made to brighten up the under eye. I love that this Collection concealer covers both spots and under eye circles and does it really well.

The best thing about this concealer is how inexpensive it is. I got it in Boots for €3.99 which is a complete bargain. It's so much cheaper than the Bobbi Brown concealer which was about €20. I would definitely repurchase this concealer again once this one runs out.

Friday Favourite #20 : Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer

Hey guys, today's Friday Favourite is the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in the colour Beige. I got this concealer in my duty free haul on the way to France for €19.95. It is a corrector for under eye circles and I am always looking for a good concealer for under my eyes so I thought I would splurge a little and see if this one would work. You may already know from reading my blog that I have been on the hunt for the ultimate concealer but haven't been able to find one that's good enough to be able to cover up my dark circles. I'm not sure I've found it yet but this is the best concealer for under eyes that I've found so far.

It's really creamy, easy to apply and provides a great amount of coverage. Because this concealer is a corrector, it is a peach-based tone to help neutralize under eye circles. If a concealer is pink or peach- based, it will cover dark circles better than a concealer that isn't so it's better to choose a concealer that is made specifically to cover dark circles. It is very travel friendly and comes with a small mirror attached as the lid. You can easily apply it with your finger but i prefer to use the Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush (which comes in the RT Starter Kit with 4 other brushes for €20) because I think it helps me build a bit more coverage.

My problem with this concealer is the price, €19.95 is a lot to pay for a concealer no matter how good it is and I don't think there is anywhere near where I live that sells Bobbi Brown so I'm not sure if I will be repurchasing this product. I think I will still continue my hunt to find the ultimate concealer, focusing more on finding a cheaper one. I'm dying to try out the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer which is a lot cheaper than the Bobbi Brown one, and I've heard rave reviews about it, but if that one turns out not to be that good, I'll make sure to go straight back to Bobbi Brown.
