Bourjous 123 Perfect Foundation Review

Today, I am reviewing the Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation. I tend to always like Bourjois products and this foundation is no exception. This foundation has 3 colour correcting pigments to help your skin to look flawless. First, it has yellow pigments which are anti-dark circles, then is has mauve pigments which are anti-dull complexion and finally, it has green pigments which are anti-redness.
I really like how this foundation looks on my skin. It is great at covering up spots (probably because of the pigments for anti-redness), it evens out my complexion and it makes my skin look flawless. The only negative thing I have to say about this foundation's appearance on my skin is that in some of my videos I can see that it makes my skin look slightly yellow. I don't know if that is from the yellow pigments or it is just because of the shade that I got (No. 52, Vanilla) but I don't think it is very noticeable.

Here are the before and after pictures of this foundation:

Before the foundation:
After applying the foundation:

In terms of staying power, this foundation claims to last for 16hrs. I don't think I've worn it that long but whenever I wear it, it lasts the entire day. It doesn't make my skin produce more oil like other foundations either. I got it in Boots for €14.99, which is on the dearer side of drugstore foundations but I think it is a fairly reasonable price. There is also a CC cream of this foundation which I am dying to try out.

Overall, I really like this foundation. I like how it makes my skin look and it lasts the entire day.  Have you tried this foundation before? Let me know in the comments below. Also, if you would like to get this foundation, you can buy it in your local Boots or Superdrug. I hope you enjoyed this post and i'll talk to you soon.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Radiance Reveal Foundation Review

Hey guys, last week the lovely Gazelle requested that I do a review on the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation that I had purchased recently. I've been wearing it all week since then and have lots of things to say about it. First off, this is a great natural everyday foundation that makes your skin look flawless and radiant. Although it doesn't have amazing coverage and would probably work best on people who are fairly young with pretty okay skin to begin with, it is build-able. I would say that it gives medium coverage so I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who has really bad acne.

It's not the cheapest foundation for €13.99 but it is definitely affordable. I got it for €6 in Boots at the end of the sales because it was missing the top, but other than that, it was good as new. It's a liquid foundation which feels really light on your skin and doesn't really feel like your wearing makeup which is great. It also lasts a very long time, I wore it from the morning until night, while working out, walking in the wind and rain, etc, and it lasted all day. It says on the Bourjois website that it lasts 16 hours, I didn't count the exact number of hours I wore it for but it lasted me the whole day until I took it off at night so I was happy.

The one thing about this foundation that I'm not really sure about is that sometimes I feel it looks slightly powdery. It seems to make powder cling to it and look a bit dry, so I prefer not to use powder with it which is okay because my skin is fairly dry anyway. When I first noticed this, I thought that I had put on too much powder (which I probably did) so I tried it the next day with only a little powder and then without any powder which I liked the best even though my skin still looked slightly, barely noticeably dry and powdery in certain areas, but at that point I was focusing on checking that every time I did my foundation and maybe wouldn't have even have noticed it if I hadn't over-powdered on the first day. This wouldn't be a problem for people with normal or oily skin though so powder away. I maybe wouldn't recommend it if you had super dry skin but my skin is quite dry and it looks a lot better than some other foundations do on it so I guess you never know how it will look on your own skin until you try it yourself.

Me wearing Bourjois Healthy Mix Radiance Reveal foundation.
The Bourjois website says that this foundation " is enriched with a fruit therapy formula to enhance your complexion." It contains apricot for radiance, melon for hydration and apple to protect your youth. I don't know about you but I love hearing what does what in a product even if it actually turns out just to be some kind of marketing scheme. I like to know what a foundation is doing for your skin rather than just "you put this on your face and it looks nice". Sorry for that slightly off tangent ramble that doesn't really help you decide if you want this foundation or not but I just like to know the idea behind a product and why the makers thought it would be good to invent.

I like the bottle for this foundation and it's design. It's a glass bottle and I like the red colour scheme throughout the bottle. The top of this bottle, which I don't have, is clear just in case you were wondering. The colour I have is Light Vanilla is very slightly too light for me because it was the only one left for €6 but that is easily fixed with some bronzer.

Overall, I really like this foundation and will continue to use it until it's gone. I'm not sure if i will repurchase it or not yet because I like the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation just as much if not a bit more and it is only €8.99. I also really want to try out some more expensive, higher quality foundations like Nars Sheer Glow or the Chanel Vitalumière so I might save up for one of those.

I hope you liked this post, if you did give it a like on Bloglovin or a +1 on Google plus. If there is anything you would like to request me to do like a celeb makeup look or another product review, leave a comment down below letting me know what.

Friday Favourite #22 : Bourjois Délice De Soleil Bronzing Powder

Hey guys, this week's Friday Favourite is the Bourjois Délice De Soleil Bronzing Powder. This is my favourite bronzer for using daily. Bronzers are a product that I think you don't have to be too picky about but there are still a couple of things that I really like about this one over other bronzers. The colour I have is no. 14 olive/tanned skin. I like this product because even though it's for olive/tanned skin, it isn't too dark so I can wear it with my everyday makeup look, but it is quite build-able if I want to do any contouring which is great.

The bronzer itself is slightly shimmery but it's very subtle just to add a radiant glow to your skin, and doesn't end up making you look like a disco ball as you might with other shimmery products :P Another thing I really like about this bronzer is the smell, it's so nice. I wasn't really sure how to describe it but I recently read that it's a chocolaty orange scent so if you love Terry's Chocolate Orange then this bronzer could be perfect for you :P Don't worry, it smells nicer than Terry's Chocolate Orange :P

One of my absolute favourite things about this product is the packaging. It's compact so it's easy for travelling, and it also has a little mirror attached to it that can swivel around and stand up so that you can use both hands to do your make up which is really cool, except I accidentally dropped mine on the floor twice now so it doesn't stay up by itself anymore, but at least the powder is intact and the lid is still attached :) A little brush is also included to do your bronzer with but I prefer to use my Sigma powder brush instead because it's way faster to use and easier to blend out with. This bronzer is fairly cheap for €12.99 or £8.99 especially since you can use it as a travel compact mirror as well as a bronzer. I really like it and will be repurchasing it once mine runs out.

Hope you liked this post :) If you want to buy this bronzer you can get it here on Amazon. I'm going to sleep now, I'm getting a train to Paris tomorrow and spending the day there before getting a nine hour bus journey to London and I just really hope that I'm somewhat better tomorrow before I go. That nine hour bus journey would not be fun while still sick :(  Hopefully I can find a doctor in Paris if I am.

NOTD Peachy Summer nails

Hey Guys :) As you know, I am really loving Bourjois' So Laque nail varnish. Read my review of this nail varnish here. Since I liked the other one I have (Beige Glamour) so much, I decided to get it in another colour. The colour I got is Abricot Ouaté and it is a really nice peachy/orangy colour. For summer, I've been using a lot of corals and peaches tones so when I saw it I knew I had to get it...Love it!!

Hope you liked this post. You can get this nail varnish in any Boots or click here to get it on Amazon.

Friday Favourite #6 : Bourjois So Laque Nail Varnish (in Beige Glamour)

Hey Guys! This weeks Friday Favourite is Bourjois' So Laque Nail Varnish in the colour Beige Glamour. I got it in Boots for around €7. I really love this nail varnish and wear it a lot. It's a really nice wine-ish colour thats subtle enough to be worn everyday. It goes on very easily and doesn't take very long to dry. It has a very shiny and glossy finish and it doesn't chip too easily. Although it says on the bottle that it lasts seven days, it does seem to chip after about 4 or 5 if a top coat is not applied over it but I do think, for the price, it is a very good nail varnish. If you like this nail varnish you can get it on Amazon by clicking HERE.
