Lush Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask Review

I haven't bought Lush products in a really long time because there isn't a Lush near me. When my friend and I planned a day trip to Cork recently, we made sure to go to their Cork store. I was really excited to buy some new bath bombs (which there might be a post on soon) but I also ended up getting a fresh face mask. In Lush, they have a thing where if you bring back 5 clean, full sized Lush pots that you used, you can get a fresh face mask free. My friend's sister had used about 15 pots so they said I could have one of the fresh face masks free because she didn't need 3 of them.

I was a bit lost when I was trying to pick out a face mask. I had never used a Lush face mask before so I hadn't a clue which one to go for. One of the girls who worked at Lush was really lovely and talked me through each one of the face masks, suggesting which ones would be good for my skin type. I have normal/combination skin (which is weird because I used to have pretty dry skin and I have no idea how it changed) so she recommended either a seaweed mask or their Brazened Honey mask, which is the one I went for. The honey mask is very exfoliating and is supposed to leave your skin looking fresh and radiant. It also has detoxifying properties. Here is the description that Lush gives of it:"Fresh fruits are blended with warming Ayurvedic herbs and spices, ground almonds to polish and moisturising honey."
You have to keep the face mask is the fridge and it is supposed to last about a month. The girl in the shop said I should get about six uses out of it but I've already used it four times and it isn't even half gone. It has quite a strong fresh smell which I like but my mom hates so it depends on your preference. You can just apply it to your face to clean and detoxify your skin or you can rub it in as you apply it and take it off to really exfoliate your skin. Although I got this one free, these fresh face masks usually retail at something like €9.95 for 75g, which initially sounds expensive but you do get at least six individual masks out of it.

You can apply it as thick as you like but I'd say you really only need a thin layer for it to work. I like to leave it on for about 15 minutes before I remove it (after it has dried and hardened). Once I have washed it off with warm water, my skin feels super soft and looks a lot clearer and brighter. My sister used it too and she loves it.
Overall, I really like this face mask. It leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean and really soft. I really like the scent and the feel of it on my skin (it's not gooey or a very watery consistency). The price could be better but you do get quite a bit of product for your money. After using this mask, I'm am looking forward to trying out some of their other ones, maybe the chocolate one next, although I'd probably eat some. What are the qualities you look for in a face mask? Let me know in the comment section below. I hope you are having a great day and I'll talk to you soon.
