Zara Woman Cherry Perfume Review

Hey guys! How are you all? Today, I've decided to do a quick review of the Zara Women Cherry perfume that that I got for free as a half used tester a while ago. I thought that I might as well tell you about it because Zara perfumes are pretty cheap and usually only range from €10-€25. I'm not in love with this scent but I do like it I will wear it until it's gone, probably on and off as I wear my other perfumes as well.

This perfume is quite light and sweet smelling. The top notes are cherry and plum, the middle notes are pear and mandarin orange, and the base notes are vanilla and sandalwood. I'm not crazy about fruity scents but I think the vanilla and sandalwood saved it for me,  because I love vanilla scents, even though their is only a hint of it in this perfume. A lot of the other Zara perfumes that I've tried last quite long, but because this one is so light and fresh, I feel it fades away quite quickly. Overall, this wouldn't be my favourite Zara perfume and it doesn't last all day but it's quite nice as something light to spritz on throughout the day to keep you smelling sweet.

I hope you liked this post. Have you ever tried any of the Zara perfumes before? If so, which one? What did you think of it? Leave a comment below.

Change

Source
Hey guys, today is a bit of a harsh inspirational quote. It's about that thing you keep putting off or are just completely ignoring. I'm sure you know what it is whether it is a big thing or just something small but as the quote says, you can't change something that you refuse to confront. If there is a problem, you first need to acknowledge that it exists before anything else, and then you need to work on changing it. Start small. Just take the first step and don't worry about the second step until you have finished the first one.

Best and Worst Dressed at the Oscars 2015

Hey guys, today's post is gonna be my best and worst dressed from the Oscars. There was some gorgeous dresses on the night, and the show was pretty amazing too. I was so glad that Eddie Redmayne won best actor because he is pretty amazing. Anyway, on to the dresses.

BEST DRESSED

Jennifer Lopez
Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP
I think Jennifer Lopez looks completely amazing in this Elie Saab gown. The colour of the dress is so beautiful with her skin tone and I love all of the pretty gold detailing on it. One of my favourite things about this look is the hair and makeup, I think it compliments to dress so perfectly. The pink lips with neutral eyes, and the stunning ponytail.. this is perfection!

Reese Witherspoon
Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP
When I first saw Reese Witherspoon on the red carpet, I was speechless. This is the most perfect dress she could have worn on the night. I really love the fit and the monochrome trend in this dress. It's so simple but so stunning at the same time.

Margot Robbie
Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP
Margot Robbie's black Saint Laurent dress with the amazing statement necklace was a really beautiful look on the carpet. The dress itself with the gorgeous sheer sleeves is beautiful but I think the statement necklace with the pop of blue really makes the look. Gorgeous!

Chloë Grace Moretz
Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP
This was a look that I missed on the red carpet live show but just think this dress is so stunningly pretty. I love how this has the sort of propped up pockets..so cool. It kinda of reminds me of something a princess would wear and Chloë looks so beautiful in it.

Dakota Johnson

This dress is so up my street; a gorgeous colour, simple one shoulder style and a bit of bling to dress it up. Add the bright lip and it makes a perfect red carpet look. She looks amazing!

JUST MISSED BEST DRESSED

Lupita Nyong'o
Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP
I love the idea of the dress and really love the bottom half. It's just the shape of the bodice that I don't really like especially with the cutout. I also don't really like the part of the dress where the small pearls meet the bigger pearls, it seems to create a weird line in the middle of the dress. I still thinks she looks gorgeous though. There aren't many women that can pull of a dress of pearls and she did it.

WORST DRESSED

Solange Knowles
Jason Merritt/Getty Images
Is it just me or does Solange Knowles just seem to try to pick what she thinks will get the worst dressed vote? I always see her on these lists and some of the oufits are so weird that I think she must be doing it for the publicity.I don't even know what to say about this about this outfit but it is just a lot to take in... way too much material.

Scarlett Johansson
Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP
There is something about this look that just doesn't work. First of all, I really don't like her short hairstyle and I think it might be ruining this look for me. Maybe the necklace and the dress would be okay if she had a different hairstyle, maybe a long ponytail, and I also think the colour of the dress would look better on a brunette of redhead. Or maybe it's the necklace, that seems to be cutting off her neck and making her appear to almost have a double chin. Either way, the look just isn't working.

I hope you guys liked this post and enjoyed watching the Oscars the other night. What do you think?Who were your best and worst looks of the night? Leave a comment down below.

NOTD: Shiny Silver Nails

Hey guys, today I thought I would quickly show you this silver nail of the day. It's a Spanish nail polish that my Nana brought back from holidays called Easy Paris. The brand isn't really important in this post it's mostly the colour, although I do like how pigmented this nail polish is. I've never really worn silver nails before and I found that I really liked them. Maybe I should wear silver nails more often. What do you think? Do you ever wear silver nail polish? Let me know in the comments below on what you think about it. Talk to you soon.

Best and Worst Dressed at the Grammys 2015

Hey guys, today I thought I would share with you my best and worst dressed of the Grammys. There were a lot of amazing looks on the night and just like the last few awards shows, I found it hard to find a lot of bad ones. Now onto the looks.

BEST DRESSED

Gwen Stefani
Larry Busacca/Getty Images for NARAS
I picked Gwen Stefani as my best dressed because as soon as I saw her I said "Wow". She looks amazing in this black Versace jumpsuit. I actually even think that this photograph doesn't do it justice and it looked way better in the video footage! It's really simple but absolutely stunning, and her hair and makeup were gorgeous too.

Jessie J
Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP
Next is Jessie J in this sheer Ralph and Russo gown. I think this look is amazing. The hair and the makeup really add to it and I thought she pulled it off perfectly. It's kind of Morticia Adams sheek but I really like it.

Anna Kendrick
Larry Busacca/Getty Images for NARAS
I figure you all knew that Anna Kendrick would be in my best dressed list in this Band of Outsiders jacket and trouser combo. I don't know why I'm loving the suits and jumpsuits so much lately. This is just so simple and elegant, and she looks amazing.

Iggy Azalea
Larry Busacca/Getty Images for NARAS
I just love Iggy Azalea's royal blue Armani Privé dress. I love the colour and it fits her body shape so perfectly. I wouldn't normally be crazy about the sort of milkmaid braid that she is sporting with it but I think she pulls it off. The hair kind of takes this look to the next level, whereas otherwise it would just have been a stunning dress.

Taylor Swift
Larry Busacca/Getty Images for NARAS
Taylor Swift just keeps on getting it right on all the red carpets I've seen her on in the last year. This turquoise Elie Saab frock is no exception. It's an amazing dress and I really love it. Also I like that she added the pop of purple in with the shoes. This look is gorgeous!

Katy Perry
Larry Busacca/Getty Images for NARAS
I love this look, and I sort of hate it a little bit, but only for the sheer fact that it is almost completely see-through,(Did you see what I did there? :P ) There is a lot on show and it doesn't leave much to the imagination but I think if it had a thicker lining underneath it would be one of my best looks of the night. She still looks amazing though, sheer or not sheer.

Now onto my worst dressed of the night, even though their weren't that many.

WORST DRESSED

Lady Gaga
Larry Busacca/Getty Images for NARAS

When I saw this photograph of Lady Gaga, I almost burst out laughing. I don't know what kind of pose she was trying to do here, but that paired with the dress gave a sort of "whoa" first impression (and not in a good way). There is just something about the look that is kind of tacky, with the crazy slits and the turquoise necklace matched with the silver, I just don't like it at all.

Rita Ora
Jason Merritt/Getty Images
I am racking my brain trying to figure out how Rita Ora could have made this Prada gown work and I can't find an answer. On paper she did everything right, with the short hair and the makeup she chose. In some pictures of the dress I think she looks quite good but in others she looks like she is covered in cheap sequins. I don't know. The dress is just a lot to deal with, being floor length with the long sleeves and high neck.

Kim Kardashian
Larry Busacca/Getty Images for NARAS
Last on my list is Kim Kardashian. I also really have a sort of love/hate feeling towards this look. It's kind of like she is dressed up as a glitzy Rocky or someone else about to go into a boxing ring but it also is kind of cool and different to anything I've seen before (But then again, that might just be my bias for loving Rocky :P ).

I hope you all enjoyed this post! The Oscars are only around the corner now and I am getting excited. Leave a comment below of who were your best and worst looks and I'l talk to you soon.

Strength & Persistence

Hey guys, I thought that I would just share this quote with ye all today because I soon as I saw it I felt better. I have a lot going on right now with trying to do well in my final year of college, a 9,000-13,000 word final year project that's due in a few weeks, a part time job where my boss isn't flexible with hours and expects me to work when I've class, and I am also trying not to let blogging or my YouTube channel slide. It's gonna take a lot of hard work over the next twelve weeks to keep on top of things and get the best possible grades I can get.

I got my exam results yesterday and they were better than I was expecting which means I might actually be able to do as well as my sister did if I work really hard this semester. The stress has been getting to me every couple of days and I feel like falling apart or panicking- it doesn't help that lots of unexpected inconveniences keep appearing like lecturers changing classes. I need to keep this quote in mind. I remember when I thought I couldn't get through last semester and I did. Whatever happens, it will all be over in a few months either way - and I think at that time I will deserve two days in bed with every episode of whatever T.V. show I want :P

If you are have a lot going on or are just going through a tough time then just remember that you are stronger than this and you will get through it. It is making you a stronger person, and life would be pretty boring without any challenges in it, wouldn't it? I'm wishing you the best and hoping you will succeed. If you would like to leave a comment below telling me some of the things that are bothering you feel free. I know I haven't been keeping up very well with answering comments but I will get around to them eventually (at the real worst, it will be in the summer) and I'll make sure to answer any comments on this post as soon as I can because I am here if anyone is feeling crappy or like they are struggling. Talk to you guys soon.

Natural Collection Nail Polish Review

Hey guys, today I'm reviewing the Natural Collection nail polish in the colour Praline. I already did a NOTD blog post where I said that I wasn't sure about the colour. As I said in that post, it just reminds me of a old lady's nail polish, like something the old Rose in Titanic would wear. Since then I wore it for a couple of days to try to get used to it and to test out it's quality. The good news is that I've slightly gotten used to the colour and I don't wince when I see it on the end of my fingers anymore. My mind isn't 100% changed yet but there is progress. For just colour alone, I'd say that even though i'm not crazy about it that I probably would wear this colour every now an again to use to nail polish up; I don't dislike it so much that I wouldn't wear it. I think that if this was a matte nail polish and not a satin finish one that I would actually really like the colour but it just doesn't look they way I would have thought it would when it's on my nails. Now that my colour rant is over, let's talk about quality.

When I first tried this nail polish I didn't think it was anything special but when I compared it to other nail polishes of the same/similar price (€2.49), I realised that it lasts a couple of days longer without chipping. The Essence and Catrice nail polish seem to barely last a few hours on my nails without getting extremely chipped but this nail varnish lasted about 2 or 3 days without chipping. When it did chip, it wasn't very noticeable, it was just barely at the tips of the nails. I went about 4 or 5 days without having the repaint them which is pretty good going for a nail polish that's only €2.49. I think for the price it's a pretty great nail polish and I might buy some more colours of it that I like a bit better.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have you ever tried out this brand? Let me know what you thought of their products in the comment section below. Also, let me know what it your favourite cheap nail polish because I would love to find out. Talk to you soon.
