REVIEW: ZARA Woman Champs Elysees Perfume

Today, I want to review a fairly new perfume of mine, a Zara Woman perfume that I love (92. Champs Elysees Paris). I first came across this perfume when my sister bought one a year or two ago, and I loved its scent. It smells so beautiful and elegant, yet soft, so it's not one of those strong scents that old grannies wear. The main fragrances in this perfume are vanilla, jasmine, caramel, and patchouli. It has a musky oriental touch to it that makes it smell amazing. It also has loads of little, minuscule white or silver flecks in it that makes it look really gorgeous that you can see in one of the pictures below.

Another thing that is great about this perfume is that it lasts for a really long time. It is one of those perfumes that you can still smell later in the day and doesn't just instantly disappear within a few minutes. I apply it in the morning and I can still smell it hours later, in the evening when I come home. One obviously great thing about this perfume is the packaging. The bottle is so gorgeous. It is one of those old-fashioned bottles with an atomizer. I love it. The only thing that you could probably say bad about it is that it probably isn't very travel friendly but that doesn't really matter to me. If you really want to bring some with you, you could fill up one of those perfume travel bottles that you can get from Boots and other chemists.

The other great thing about thing about this product is that it's pretty inexpensive. I think it retails around the €20 mark (maybe €25). I actually got mine for free in work. This was because it was a tester that was broken and the atomizer/sprayer wouldn't work (I don't think that they break very often, but I'm sure you could return it if it did). I thought that whatever I would do whether it would be smashing the bottle open and filling up a new one with this perfume, or just using the bottle as a decoration in my room, that I definitely wanted it. It's too good a perfume to throw away and it was still completely full. The good news is that after a lot, and a lot more, of struggling with it, the sprayer actually does work now, it just takes a spray or two before something will come out. I'm so happy that I have this perfume because I absolutely love it, and it's great that it won't be too expensive to repurchase when this one runs out.

I also got two other perfumes for free that I will be reviewing in the next while. The only thing about those is that nobody wanted them because they didn't like their scent but I thought I might as well take them to review them, especially since they would have ended up in the bin otherwise.

Overall, I love this Champs Elysees perfume and don't have a bad thing to say about it. It smells amazing, the bottle is gorgeous, it lasts all day and it doesn't break the bank -the perfect perfume!
Have you ever tried any the Zara perfumes before? What do you think of them? Are they worth the money? Leave a comment down below.

Paris Trip For My 21st Birthday

Hey guys, as you might already know, I went to Paris for my 21st birthday. I went there for three days and had an amazing time. All of my family flew over to see me, along with my best friend (whose birthday was the day after mine), her sister and two of my friends who are living in France with me. I got loads of presents and got to see loads of the sights in Paris.

I absolutely hate walking around looking for things, so we made sure to get the Hop On Hop Off Bus that takes you all around Paris to all the major tourist sites. This bus would stop at each site so you could choose if you wanted to get off or go to the next one. If you did get off, you could do whatever you wanted there and you could get back on another Hop On Hop Off Bus whenever you were done there because a new bus would come every ten minutes or so.

On this bus, we saw lots of different famous tourist attractions in Paris, including the Arc de Triomphe,  the Louvre, the Champs Elysees and the Eiffel Tower. When we got to the Eiffel Tower, we got of the bus and queued up to go to the top of it. I didn't really like the look of the Eiffel Tower up close; it was a bit of an eye-sore and was actually brown instead of grey which it appears to be from far away. We queued for ages to get to the top and there was a great view from there but then we had to queue for ages again to get back down. It took over three hours overall to get to the top of it and get back down again. I know a lot of people love the Eiffel Tower but I thought that it was a bit overrated. Some of my friends, however, went a while after me and they didn't have to wait three hours. They said that the wait was fairly okay, but the couples who were all over each other on the way to the top, standing beside them, were really annoying.

This was something I noticed a lot in Paris. The couples were all over each other all the time. They say that Paris is the city of love but I felt more like it was the city of PDA. Couples were kissing and cuddling everywhere you looked. There was one thing I saw that was really weird; a guy was cradling a girl like she was a baby, swinging her to and fro for about five minutes with his hand on her arse and I couldn't believe it. It was just such a random thing to do.
Yes I took a picture of it. I needed to show you all how weird it was :P

One of my favourite things that we did in Paris was our trip to the Zoo. There was loads of really cool animals there but my two favourites were the crocodile and the snow leopard. The snow leopard was so cool, he keep walking back and forth at the front of the enclosure like he was showing off for all the people watching him, whereas all the other large cat animals were far at the back lying down in their enclosures. He was my overall favourite animal there and had the coolest tail ever; it was so fluffy.

This was my friend's favourite animal in the zoo; a red panda
One cool thing that I got to do on my last day in Paris was to try some snails. People always say that the french eat snails and frog's legs and I've always wondered what they would taste like. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a restaurant that did frog's leg so I guess I'll do that another time, but I got to order a starter of large burgundy snails in a restaurant in Montmartre. I tried them and they were nice enough but it was kind of funny trying to get them out of their shells with the strange utensils provided.
Overall, I had a really good birthday in Paris with my family and friends and got to do lot of amazing things.
Hope you liked this post. Have you been to Paris? What did you think of the Eiffel Tower? And have you ever tried snails? Would you? Please leave a comment below :)

Making The Positives Cancel Out The Negatives

Hey Guys! So Today's post is about the making the positives cancel out the negatives. As ye probably already know, I am going to study in France for 4 months and I'll admit that I have been quite stressed about it. Don't get me wrong, I have being excited about going to France next week, but for a while I was mostly focusing on the negatives like having to give up my job and not being able to understand French, whereas I should have been focusing on the positives like all the fun I'm going to have over there. I couldn't really help it as I tend to be bit of a worrier and worry about everything. I tend to think of every bad thing that can possibly happen and worry about it. Leaving your life and going to another country to live for four months is really scary and I'm still pretty scared about not being able to understand anyone, but there is a lot to look forward to that cancels it out. Although I'm leaving my family and friends, it's only for four months and then I'll see them again. So here are 5 things I'm gonna miss about home, but also, 5 things that I'm looking forward to in France :)

5 Things I will miss about home:
1. My Family and Friends
2. Work and all my work friends
3. My Pets
4. My Car and driving around with my music up and the windows down :)
5. My Guitar

5 things I'm looking forward to in France:
1. Going to Paris for my 21st
2. Getting to do cool subjects like Japanese
3. Spending 4 months with two of my best friends
4. Getting to live in student accommodation and having to do everything for myself.
5. Hopefully becoming fluent in French

So If there is any thing that you want to do but are too scared, just think of all the good things that will come of it and try not worry so much about it. Just think that you will worry about it when it happens because a lot of things we worry about don't have any solution and worrying just stresses you out.

Hope you liked this post :) I not going to be doing a Friday Favourite this week because I have a post for today, tomorrow and Sunday before I leave on Monday and didn't really have room for it or time to do it but I will have one next week. I just wanna let ye know also, that I will be continuing my blog over in France and when I return so don't think that I'm leaving the blogging world too. I will be here for a while yet :)
