Natural Collection Concealer Review

Hey guys! Today I am reviewing the Natural Collection Concealer which is only €2.49. I picked this up in my Boot's haul a few months ago and wasn't expecting anything special. To my surprise it is actually pretty good. It's one of the top two concealers that I always reach for lately, the other one being the Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer. They both have the same type of application, a stick with an applicator at the end that reaches far into the tube to get a lot of product.

What I like about this concealer is that it is creamy enough to be blended well but it also has quite a good staying power and doesn't just wipe completely off your face as your are applying it. It drys quite fast so you need to blend it pretty fast but you have enough time to do it, just don't leave it a minute before blending it out.

One thing that I don't really like about the product is that it doesn't smell very good. It has kind of a strong smell like nail polish or something like that but you don't smell it once the concealer has been applied. It's more when you first open it that you can smell it quite strongly. The pictures below are my before and after results.
Before
After
Overall I really like this product. It's great value for money and it works really well. The smell isn't that great but you would get over it for the price. If you are interested, you can get this concealer in any Boots store. Have you ever tried this concealer before? Let me know in the comments what you thought of it or what your favorite concealer is right now if you have never used this one.

Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder Review

Hey guys! Today I am reviewing Essence's Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder. Essence is one of my favourite inexpensive brands. Their products are super cheap and a lot of them are just as good as any other dear drug store alternative. This bronzer is less than five euro and I have to say that it is pretty good. It's a matte bronzer which I love because I have no time for a shimmery bronzer.
I originally liked the scent of this bronzer but now I'm not so sure, it's a bit strong smelling (but maybe that's because I'm practically putting my nose into the pan try to decide what scent it has :P) So although I wouldn't recommend sniffing this product too deeply, I was pretty happy with the scent when I was testing it on my skin over the past week. Something in my mind is saying that it has a slight orangey scent- but that may be completely wrong because I'm not the best at determining scents. However, if the scent of a product is important to you, and you don't want to trust my sniffer, you can always check if it's a scent you like before you buy it in the shop.

I like that this product is very buildable so you can choose to put on only a light layer or  to build it up to make it a lot darker depending on what you prefer. The only thing that I didn't like about it is that when I swatched it, it had a slight orange tone to it but I didn't notice it as much when I spread it out on my arms or applied it to my face. You can see for yourself from the pictures below how it came out.

Overall, I really like this product and think that it is well worth the money. If you don't have that much to spend on a bronzer then I would definitely suggest this product because it's quite good quality for such a great price. Have you ever bought this bronzer? What did you think of it? Let me know in the comments below :)

Inexpensive Ruby Makeup Brushes Set Review

Hey guys, today I wanted to review a inexpensive Ruby Brushes set. This set is only 20 euros and for that you get 6 brushes and with a brush belt. One thing I really love about these brushes is the professional black handles with the pretty purple Ruby logo. I also love that they come in a brush belt but I have found that if you turn the brush belt upside down with the brushes in it, that some of them will fall out because the pouches that are supposed to be made the fit them are a bit too big, which is annoying but you don't have to use the brush belt.

The first brush that comes in this set is the powder brush. I really like this brush. It is really soft and the perfect size for a powder brush, not too big or not too small. Although one or two bristles fall out every so often, I think I might actually prefer this than more high end powder brushes than I've used before. It is so soft on your skin and applies powder really easily. This might be my favourite brush in the set.

The next brush in the set is the foundation brush. Although I usually like to use either a buffing brush or a duo fibre brush to do my foundation, this brush is fine for a foundation brush. It's not the softest pointed foundation brush to use but it definitely does the job. So it would be good for someone who is just starting out with makeup brushes.

The next brush is a crease brush. This brush is good for blending out eye shadow but I found that the bristles fell out quite a bit while using this brush. I think that this would also be a good starter brush though to build up your collection if you couldn't afford the more expensive brushes.

The next brush is a sort of flat, slightly fluffy shader brush which is great for applying a base eye shadow across the lid. I think that this sort of brush doesn't have to be very expensive, that the all do it well so I would use this brush everyday.

The next brush is a very small angle brush. I find this brush is great for doing gel, liquid or even shadow liner above the top lash. I also like to use this brush to do very precise shaped eyebrows even though it takes a little longer than it would have using a normal sized brow brush. This is another brush in the set that is one of my favourites.

The last brush in this set is a small round sort of a brush that I like to use to blend out eyeliner and also to apply eye shadow under the eye. I like this brush. It doesn't have a lot of fall and does its job perfectly.

Overall, I think this set is well worth the money and is quite good quality for the price. I would definitely recommend it for someone who is just starting their brush collection because of how inexpensive it is and because it contains a lot of the essential brushes that you need in your makeup brush collection. I think you can get these brushes in some Boots stores and they are available in some pharmacies so keep a lookout for them. I think they are only available in Ireland and Great Britain but let me know if you have seen them anywhere else and I will add it to this post.

I hope you liked this post. If you did, give it a like on Bloglovin or a +1 on Google plus to let me know if I should do more reviews like this in the future. Have you ever bought Ruby brushes? What did you think of them? Leave a comment down below.

NOTD | Black and Gold Metallic Nails

Hey Guys! Today i'm going to be a bit more adventurous with my nails, using black crackle glaze over gold nail varnish to create this cool metallic look. I really like the idea of crackle glaze because it looks like you have spent a lot more time on your nails then you actually have. If you don't know how crackle glaze works, you start off by painting a base colour (like I did with the gold), wait for it to dry, and then just paint the crackle glaze straight over it. (it's a simple as that) Then some of the crackle glaze will crack off you nails on its own and leave them looking like this design in the picture above.

I got this Angelica Crackle Glaze in the colour Black Crackle in Pennys for only around €2 so it's great value for money. The Gold Catrice nail varnish is no. 650 Goldfinger and is Limited Edition (just under €2) but you could use any gold nail varnish to achieve this look. You could also use the crackle glaze over any other colour that you like. Both red and silver are colours that I think would look really cool :)

You can buy Angelica nail varnishes at any Pennys (Primark). Barry M also do a crackle glaze that can produce a similar effect and it can be bought at most Boots Stores or you can click here to buy it on Amazon.

Hope you liked this post! Please leave a comment below if you did :)

Duty Free and Paris Haul!

Hey guys! When I was in Paris last week I bought a couple of things in the duty free for a lot cheaper than I would have at home. The first things I got were on the way over in The Loop in Cork airport. I got Benefit's The Porefessional and a new They're Real Mascara because I have run out. I also got my first O.P.I. nail varnish because I've wanted to try O.P.I. for ages. The colour I got was Not So Bora Bora-ing Pink. It's a gorgeous colour that can be worn everyday and as soon as I saw the name, I knew I had to get it. I got it for €11.70 which was very good because I know that they are usually around €14 or something if not more. I saved a lot of money on the Benefit products, saving €20 between the two products as I got the Porefessional for €24 (whereas it's €35 at home in Boots) and I got the mascara for only €18 (Whereas it's €27 at home). I was very happy with this because I was going to get the mascara and Porefessional anyway so I saved a lot of money.

My favourite thing I got for a lot cheaper than usual was on an Aer Lingus flight home. They were selling the Real Techniques Core Collection for just €20 ( That's just €5 per brush). As ye know I already have the blush brush, stippling brush and the starter set, but I still wanted the core collection because I've heard that the buffing brush that is in it is the best of all the Real Techniques brushes. I had seen the core collection in Boots but it was for €28.99 so I was so happy that I got it for just €20 :)

Another thing that I bought on the trip is the coolest hoody ever... a Buzz Lightyear one. I got it in one of the Disneystores in Discovery Land in the Disneyland Park for €45.99. I know that's quite expensive but it's a really unique hoody and a great souvenir from the trip (also it's really warm and we hadn't packed for the cold, wet weather that was there when we went :P

Hope you liked this post. If you want me to do a review on any of the above products just leave a comment down below.
