Best and Worst Dressed at the Golden Globes 2017

So awards season has come around again and I thought that for today's post I would show you my best and worst dressed from the Golden Globes 2017. So without further ado, here are my best dressed:

Best Dressed

Lily Collins
Lily Collins looked amazing in this girly Zuhair Murad gown. The light pink material paired with the bright red lip and her porcelain skin is absolutely stunning. She is my best dressed of the night.
Lily Collins wearing Zuhair Murad at the Golden Globes 2017
Mandy Moore
I loved this look on Mandy Moore. This stunning Naeem Khan dress with a plunging neckline and flowing cape looked gorgeous on her.  She was a very close contender for best dressed.
 Naomie Harris
This golden figure hugging dress looks perfect on Naomie Harris. She looks amazing.
Emma Stone
I love this gown on Emma Stone. The stars on the dress were inspired by the Film La La Land which she won an award for on the night. Also, her hair and makeup is gorgeous as always.
 Kristen Bell
Kristen Bell looked stunning in this glittery Jenny Packham dress with plunging neckline. I like how the plunge wasn't a typical V-neck and didn't make her look overly sexy or trashy. She still looked chic and classy even with a plunging neckline.
Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood rocked a different sort of look from her previous ones at the Golden Globes. Instead of wearing a dress, which she admits she loves to do and has nothing against, she wore a fitted Altuzarra suit to show women that they don't have to wear a dress if they don't want to, and she definitely pulled it off.
Millie Bobby Brown
Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown looked really pretty in this sparkly Jenny Packham dress. Her entire look, from dress to hair to makeup was chic and elegant. A great look for the Golden Globes.
So those were all my best dressed of the night, now onto my worst dressed:

Worst Dressed

Anna Chlumsky
This frumpy dress did no favours for Anna Chlumsky. There was no real shape to the dress and I really don't like the colour on her.
Kerry Washington
From the waist up, I don't mind this dress, and she killed it with hair and makeup but the bottom half of the dress lets it down. I also really hate the weird detailing on the waist. Even with just that gone, I think the dress would be much better.
Janelle Monae
When I first saw Janelle Monae on the red carpet, I saw her from the waist up and thought, this girl is in the running for best dressed. Then I saw the entire look and was let down. I think if the bottom of the dress was full length then it would be fine but it doesn't work as a mullet dress. All things aside though, I have to say, her hair and makeup looks STUNNING!!
So those are my picks for best and worst dressed at the Golden Globes 2017. Let me know in the comments below who were your best and worst dressed of the night. Best and Worst Dressed at the Oscars 2015

Hey guys, today's post is gonna be my best and worst dressed from the Oscars. There was some gorgeous dresses on the night, and the show was pretty amazing too. I was so glad that Eddie Redmayne won best actor because he is pretty amazing. Anyway, on to the dresses.

BEST DRESSED

Jennifer Lopez
Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP
I think Jennifer Lopez looks completely amazing in this Elie Saab gown. The colour of the dress is so beautiful with her skin tone and I love all of the pretty gold detailing on it. One of my favourite things about this look is the hair and makeup, I think it compliments to dress so perfectly. The pink lips with neutral eyes, and the stunning ponytail.. this is perfection!

Reese Witherspoon
Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP
When I first saw Reese Witherspoon on the red carpet, I was speechless. This is the most perfect dress she could have worn on the night. I really love the fit and the monochrome trend in this dress. It's so simple but so stunning at the same time.

Margot Robbie
Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP
Margot Robbie's black Saint Laurent dress with the amazing statement necklace was a really beautiful look on the carpet. The dress itself with the gorgeous sheer sleeves is beautiful but I think the statement necklace with the pop of blue really makes the look. Gorgeous!

Chloë Grace Moretz
Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP
This was a look that I missed on the red carpet live show but just think this dress is so stunningly pretty. I love how this has the sort of propped up pockets..so cool. It kinda of reminds me of something a princess would wear and Chloë looks so beautiful in it.

Dakota Johnson

This dress is so up my street; a gorgeous colour, simple one shoulder style and a bit of bling to dress it up. Add the bright lip and it makes a perfect red carpet look. She looks amazing!

JUST MISSED BEST DRESSED

Lupita Nyong'o
Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP
I love the idea of the dress and really love the bottom half. It's just the shape of the bodice that I don't really like especially with the cutout. I also don't really like the part of the dress where the small pearls meet the bigger pearls, it seems to create a weird line in the middle of the dress. I still thinks she looks gorgeous though. There aren't many women that can pull of a dress of pearls and she did it.

WORST DRESSED

Solange Knowles
Jason Merritt/Getty Images
Is it just me or does Solange Knowles just seem to try to pick what she thinks will get the worst dressed vote? I always see her on these lists and some of the oufits are so weird that I think she must be doing it for the publicity.I don't even know what to say about this about this outfit but it is just a lot to take in... way too much material.

Scarlett Johansson
Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP
There is something about this look that just doesn't work. First of all, I really don't like her short hairstyle and I think it might be ruining this look for me. Maybe the necklace and the dress would be okay if she had a different hairstyle, maybe a long ponytail, and I also think the colour of the dress would look better on a brunette of redhead. Or maybe it's the necklace, that seems to be cutting off her neck and making her appear to almost have a double chin. Either way, the look just isn't working.

I hope you guys liked this post and enjoyed watching the Oscars the other night. What do you think?Who were your best and worst looks of the night? Leave a comment down below.

The SAG Awards 2015: My Best and Worst Dressed

Hey guys, as you already probably know, the Screen Actors Guild awards was on last night so as promised, here are my best and worst dressed. There were so many amazing looks on the night that I had to leave out some on my list because it was getting way too long and I was almost hard pressed for my worst looks. So lets start with the best dressed:

Best Dressed

Emma Stone

I had to choose Emma Stone again for my best dressed. I feel like all I'm seeing on the red carpets lately is the same thing again and again, gorgeous dresses but not much that stands out. Emma's Dior look was one that was completely different from anything I'd seen on the red carpet before and so sheek. I love the simple shoes and accessories, including a stunning ear cuff. I had to name her best dressed even though I would have liked not to put the same person twice in a row but I just thought the look was amazing and I even prefer it to her Golden Globes look. This is a look that I think will be talked about for years to come during award season.

This Armani Privé gown is so stunning. I really like the sort of sheer lacy detail it has. It was definitely a wow moment for me when I first saw this on the red carpet. The diamond necklace is perfect with it and the entire look together is just amazing and so elegant.

Julie Bowen

Julie Bowen's Georges Hobeika dress is really pretty and quite girly. I love everything about this dress from the floral detailing to the fabric belt with a bow that cinches in her waist. I also really like that she paired it with a simple fresh makeup look and stud diamond earrings because this dress did all the talking on it's own.

Felicity Jones

This stunning pale pink fitting gown by Balenciaga looked amazing on Felicity Jones. I think it complimented her skin tone so beautifully and this look to me, with everything combined, showed her as a beautiful English rose. It was so elegant and perfect with her paler skin tone that I just couldn't help but think that when I saw her.

Sofia Vergara
Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP
Sofia Vergara looked so hot in this deep red Donna Karan dress. This look to me is so effortlessly stunning but then again I guess when Sofia Vergara rolls out of bed in the morning that she looks effortlessly stunning. Love the dress, love the hair, and love the red lip!

Keira Knightley
Kevin Mazur/Wire Image
Keira Knightley rocked her baby bump on the night in this purple Erdem gown. This picture doesn't really do it justice and it looked so much better from the side while she was walking down the carpet. I loved this dress on her before I even realised that she was pregnant. The hair was just perfect with it and I loved the look. The perfect way to show of a baby bump on the red carpet!

Sarah Hyland

This custom Vera Wang dress is so cool. Surprisingly, I really love this colour on her and think the jeweled bodice takes it to the next level and gives it a bit more of an edgy look.

Reese Witherspoon
Jordan Strauss/ Invision/AP
There really isn't much to say about this look. Reese nailed it again and looked amazing. This Armani gown was a great fit on her and she looked stunning.

Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting
Lester Cohen/Wire Image
This simple fitted Romona Keveza dress was great on Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting. Not much to say about the dress but it fitted her beautifully and the colour was great with her skin tone. I also really like the metallic clutch bag, and as you would have probably already guessed, the simple accessories. One thing that I don't like, which is not just for the SAG awards but in general, is her hair. I much preferred her long hair, although there is no denying that she can pull off this short do.

Natalie Dormer

I liked this flowery Naeem Kahn dress and the one shoulder look it has going on. Her hair style with it compliments the dress a lot and I don't think I would have liked it as much with a simple updo. I feel that there is something slightly off with this dress though that I can't quite put my finger on and that's why it is so far down the list.

Now onto what everyone is waiting for; the worst dressed of the night.

Worst Dressed

Lo Bosworth
Jordan Strauss/Invison/AP

The fit of this dress was just completely wrong. It looks like a sort of flesh coloured sack that does nothing for her.  I also don't like her hair or makeup, they're quite 90's but I really like her shoes.

Lorelei Linklater
Theo Wargo/Wire Image
This probably would have been a nice dress if not for the crazy sleeves. I can't understand if it was worn wrong or if the dress was actually supposed to look like this. It's really sort of pilgrim-esque and I don't see how she can even use her hands with these bell sleeves.

Laura Carmichael
Jordan Strauss/ Invision/ AP
This dress just doesn't work for me. The mixture of the two fabrics looks really strange. It would have looked better if it was just the one fabric because the layered effect isn't working, it looks kind of frumpy or something.

Sophia Bush
Jordan Strauss/Invision/ AP
I really like Sophia Bush and think she is so beautiful but I don't like this dress. It doesn't seem to fit right and it's quite weird that you can see the lining underneath in the pictures. I preferred her as a brunette but this hairstyle is very Hollywood glamour, perfect for a red carpet and I love the shoes. The dress just looks sort of strange especially around her midriff so I had to put it on my list.

So those are all my best and worst looks from the Screen Actor's Guild awards. I hope you liked this post! Make sure to give it a +1 on Google Plus or save it on Bloglovin' if you did and make sure to let me know in the comments below who was your best and worst dressed of the night.
